Retrospective evaluation of labial fusion in girls

Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the factors affecting fusion in girls treated for labial retrospectively over a three-year period. 
 Material and Method: research has cross-sectional design. sample consists with ICD10 code Q52.5 who were brought hospital symptoms period (January 2018-December 2020). data obtained from information system. Variables that effective recurrence determined by Chi-Square analysis, marginal effects variables on analyzed Poison Regression analysis. Results: 52.9% 308 cases younger than one year old (mean age 4.36±1.10 months). Symptom presentation is 10.4% children age, 84.83% older. most commonly presented are pain, burning, soiling underwear, bad odor during urination. Labial 14.1% 62.8% Manual opening applied all cases, weekly follow-ups performed topical treatment. analysis revealed history allergy (1.31 times; z:3.61, p:0.000), winter (0.86 z:3.22, p:0.001), diaper dermatitis (1.22 z:5.19, p:0.000) increased number recurrence. Conclusion: findings our similar literature terms causing treatment type. rate found be higher study. It should kept mind asymptomatic, especially first life. Considering possibility fusion, mothers physicians examining child aware issue.
